This week, the President of the United States called for “leakers” to be executed. Leakers like the person who revealed the Grand Jury Presentment in the Hope Florida scandal before it was wiped out by a Florida Appeals Court. The Opinion that expunged the presentment was authored by Judge Lance Neff. The Opinion will not become final until October 22, 2026 or later.
Prior to becoming an appellate judge, Neff served as a circuit judge in Leon County. Before that, he was an Assistant Attorney General under Pam Bondi. After Moe Dimanche defeated Bondi in the landmark case Dimanche v. Brown, Assistant AG Neff represented the State of Florida in a 3-day public corruption trial prosecuted by Dimanche.
While prosecuting public corruption in 2017, the weight of the State rested on Moe. If he won the trial, he could usher in an Age of Accountability never seen in the State of Florida before. But not securing a favorable jury verdict was dangerous: it could embolden the corrupt officials on the sidelines who anxiously awaited the outcome.

Top brass from the State of Florida testified, witnesses were examined by Dimanche over predatory behavior involving minors, suspected involvement in homicides and coverups, and the State’s use-of-force specialist resisted confirming the validity of instructions from a teargas manufacturer, which was a critical point in the trial.
But after the cross-examination of Jon Troemper (whose time on the stand was identical to a passenger in a commercial jet attempting to unbuckle his seatbelt and exit the craft, mid-air) the lead attorney on the case, Shirley Wilson-Durham, was removed and replaced by Lance Neff.
